1. Newbury Rental Agreement

All vehicle rentals with Newbury are governed by a detailed Rental Agreement provided at booking confirmation or vehicle collection. The agreement sets out the terms, conditions, insurance arrangements, applicable charges, and your responsibilities for the particular rental. If there is any conflict between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will take precedence for that booking.

2. Newbury Eligibility

To rent a vehicle from Newbury, you must:

Be at least 21 years old (age limits differ by vehicle type, and additional charges may apply for drivers under 25). Hold a valid, full driving licence appropriate to the vehicle category, held for the minimum period set out in the Rental Agreement. Provide valid photo identification, proof of address and a payment card in the driver’s name when collecting the vehicle from Newbury.

3. Newbury Booking and Payment

Bookings can be made via our website, by phone, or in person at our Newbury branch. A booking deposit may be required to confirm your reservation. Full payment and the security deposit are normally payable when the vehicle is collected. All prices are quoted in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable.

4. Vehicle Collection and Return at Newbury

At collection from Newbury, you must inspect the vehicle carefully and report any existing damage immediately. A vehicle condition report will be completed and signed at handover. Return the vehicle in the same condition as when collected, allowing for normal wear and tear. Any new damage identified on return will be assessed and charged to you.

5. Insurance and Liability for Newbury

Basic third-party insurance is included with all Newbury rentals. Full coverage details and excess amounts are provided in the Rental Agreement. Additional insurance options may be available to reduce your financial liability. We recommend reviewing these carefully. You are responsible for damage or loss up to the excess amount specified in the Rental Agreement.

6. Cancellations and Revisions

Newbury's cancellation and amendment policies vary by booking type and notice period. Please refer to your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement for specific details. Late cancellations or no-shows may incur charges.

7. Newbury Restrictions

You must not use a Newbury vehicle for:

Any illegal purpose or activity involving a Newbury vehicle. Racing, rallying, off-roading, or other hazardous uses. Transporting hazardous or regulated materials. Subletting the vehicle to third parties or permitting unauthorized drivers. Operating the vehicle while impaired by alcohol or drugs. Use for purposes beyond the vehicle's intended specifications.

Breaching Newbury's rules may result in immediate rental termination and additional charges.

8. Newbury Liability Limit

To the maximum extent permitted by English and Welsh law, Newbury is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data or business, arising from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the fees paid by you for the service that gave rise to the claim.

9. Newbury Law

These Terms for Newbury are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

10. Revisions to Newbury Terms

Newbury may modify these Terms at any time. Modifications become effective immediately upon posting on our website. Your continued use of Newbury services constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
